Slovenia's GDP up 4.4% in Q2

Slovenia's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) increased by 4.4% in the second quarter of 2017 compared to the same period last year, the country's bureau of statistics estimated.
In Q2 GDP grew slightly less than in Q1, when it increased by 5.1% on the year.
Exports and domestic consumption had the most impact on GDP growth in Q2.
Total domestic consumption in Q2 increased by 3.7% y-on-y.

According to preliminary estimates, exports grew by 8.3% on the year while imports increased at a slower pace, by 7.9%.

The bureau now forecasts an annual GDP growth of 3.1% for 2016, which is 0.6 percentage points higher than its initial forecast in February this year.
