Promoting common green interests between Croatia and Denmark

In June, the Embassy of Denmark in Croatia, as part of its public diplomacy and trade strategy, organized a press trip to Denmark in cooperation with the Croatian National Broadcaster HRT and Novo Nordisk Croatia. The main purpose of the trip was to broaden the scope of Danish interests in Croatia at the time, when the country was just about to become the 28th member of the EU.
The Embassy wanted to show Denmark to the Croatian public as one of the world’s leading countries in the fields of green energy, sustainability and innovative industry as well as having of the best health care systems in the world.

The press trip resulted in 37 interviews with representatives from the government, municipalities and the industry. As part of the EU accession celebrations on 31st of June, the HRT already aired the first feature article about the project.
A documentary about the project will later be aired on two of the main Croatian national channels. The Embassy was involved in the preproduction and execution of the project, and the interviews and footage will later be included in the documentary by the HRT.
