Sectors in focus
Albania's economy consists of three main pillars, where the GDP composition by sector is as follows: Services (52,4%), Industry (25,4%) and agriculture (22,1%).
Due to a boom in tourism to Albania, it is expected that the service sector will expand further over the next couple of years. Also the energy sector is expected to be strengthened, as the country is committed to encourage investments in solar energy.
Albanian industry is concentrated in the following activities: Textiles (including leather), medicament, machinery and transport equipment, machine tools, chemicals, metals.
