Healthcare and Pharmaceuticals

In Kosovo the healthcare system is being upgraded with the goal of better coverage and state-of-the-art equipment. This as well as the need for imported pharmaceuticals presents interesting opportunities:

• Upgrades of healthcare facilities
• PPPs are becoming part of the market.
• Better access for marginalised groups to healthcare
• Medical supplies
• Provision of medical equipment and supplies

The EU and other donors are taking part in funding the upgrades of the healthcare sector within the context of the Stabilisation and Association Agreement (SAA).
