Executive Order on Payment for Services provided by the danish foreign service (betalingsbekendtgørelse)

The Executive Order No. 65 of 26 June 2020 on Payment for Services Provided by the Danish Foreign Service has been revised (“BEK nr 208 af 05/02/2021”).

The revised Executive Order on Payment for Services Provided by the Danish Foreign Service is in effect as of 17 February 2021. The revised Executive Order contains only few changes compared to the existing Executive Order. The fees listed in the Executive Order are unchanged except for the changes highlighted below:

  • The fees for application for Danish nationality by naturalisation as well as application for certificate of or retention of Danish nationality and declaration for reacquisition of Danish nationality have been removed as the fees are no longer to be paid to the MFA, but directly to the Ministry of Immigration and Integration (§ 8).

  • The Trade Council’s option to provide free of charge support to urgent COVID-19 related challenges for companies’ local production and activities has been removed. Furthermore, the minimum invoicing amount for trade related consulting services and other assistance has been adjusted (§ 9).

The revised Executive Order on Payment for Services Provided by the Danish Foreign Service (Danish version) is available on the website of the national legal information system here and will be accessible on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In connection with the revision of the Executive Order, a revision will be made of the associated Guidelines to the Executive Order on Payment for Services Provided by the Danish Foreign Service as well as the English version of the Executive Order.
